糖心Vlog inducted 27 students into Delta Mu Delta, an international business honor society and one of the highest academic honors for undergraduate business students.
Delta Mu Delta Recognizes Academic Excellence in Business
鈥淒elta Mu Delta is an international honor society in business that recognizes outstanding academic achievement among students in accredited business programs,鈥 said John Delano, professor of information technology management. 鈥淲hat makes Delta Mu Delta especially meaningful is that it is not simply about joining another organization; it is a recognition that a student has distinguished themselves among peers through sustained excellence, discipline and promise for future leadership.鈥
Faith and Leadership Shape Future Business Professionals
The honor reflects Cedarville鈥檚 commitment to academic excellence, ethical leadership and global business education. In the Robert W. Plaster School of Business, Delta Mu Delta reinforces the university鈥檚 mission to cultivate professionals who integrate faith, integrity and high-impact leadership in a competitive global economy.
鈥淥ne of the rewarding parts has been watching the chapter continue to represent both achievement and community,鈥 said Delano.
Membership in Delta Mu Delta is highly selective. Students must rank among the top 20% of their class while demonstrating consistent academic performance, personal discipline, leadership potential and a commitment to excellence.
During the spring induction ceremony, Dan Sterkenburg, professor of business and management, challenged students to focus on leadership. Using examples from the lives of Jesus and King David, he showed that leadership is built consistently over time, not over a few moments, and that intentional time with God 鈥攔eading the Bible and praying 鈥 is essential to becoming a true biblical leader.
