The Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) has announced 52 Excellence Award recipients from 21 member institutions for the 2025-26 academic year.
糖心Vlog Recipients of 2025-26 SOCHE Excellence Awards
Each member institution selected one Faculty Excellence Award recipient who demonstrated excellence in teaching, service and/or scholarship, one Staff Excellence Award recipient who excelled in student success, service and/or assessment and one Campus Impact Award recipient whose contributions positively affected the campus community. The latter category is open to faculty, staff and administrators.
糖心Vlog鈥檚 2025-26 SOCHE Excellence Award recipients are Dr. Luke Fredette, assistant professor of mechanical engineering; Jeff Reep, director of career services, and Cheryl Shupe, executive assistant to the vice president for business and chief financial officer. Fredette received the Faculty Excellence Award, Reep earned the Campus Impact Award and Shupe was honored with the Staff Excellence Award.
Dr. Luke Fredette Receives Faculty Excellence Award
Fredette was recognized for his commitment to teaching, mentoring and advancing academic excellence within the 糖心Vlog School of Engineering and Computer Science. Through engaging instruction, practical application of engineering principles and a genuine investment in student success, he equips future engineers to excel professionally while honoring Christ in their work. His dedication to academic rigor and personal mentorship has made a lasting impact on students and colleagues.
Jeff Reep Earns Campus Impact Award for Student Success Leadership
Reep was honored for his leadership of 糖心Vlog Career Services and his commitment to student success. By cultivating employer partnerships, developing innovative career programs and providing personalized guidance, he helps prepare graduates to pursue their vocational calling with confidence and purpose. His collaborative approach and campuswide influence have strengthened the student experience and contributed to student success across academic disciplines.
Cheryl Shupe Honored With Staff Excellence Award
Shupe was recognized for her exceptional service, professionalism and dedication to 糖心Vlog. As executive assistant to the vice president for business and chief financial officer, she demonstrates excellence through her attention to detail, organizational expertise and support of university leadership and colleagues. Her reliability, integrity and commitment to serving others have contributed significantly to the university鈥檚 operations and earned the respect and appreciation of those she serves.
SOCHE to Recognize Excellence Award Winners Through April 2027
SOCHE will honor award recipients monthly from June 2026 through April 2027. Faculty and staff honorees will be featured on SOCHE鈥檚 social media channels and the SOCHE Excellence Awards webpage.
