Our 36-foot, state-of-the-art indoor climbing wall is a popular part of Cedarville's recreational facilities.

It provides climbers of all experience levels with an opportunity to stay active, relieve stress, and build stronger friendships in an adventurous yet safe environment. The climbing wall is available free of charge to all current Recreation Center passholders (including current students, faculty, staff, and their families) during scheduled open hours.

Before climbing, every participant must have a signed on file. Participants under the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Climbers on Wall

Belay Certification

No previous climbing experience or certification is required to use the wall. However, anyone who wishes to belay another climber must earn CU Belay Certification.

Belay certification classes and belay certification checks (for climbers certified at Cedarville during the previous academic year) are offered during the first few weeks of each semester. Because Wall Supervisors are not able to belay every climber, anyone planning to climb regularly is encouraged to become belay certified.

To register for a belay certification class, stop by the Recreational Activities Equipment Room window, located across from the climbing wall. The equipment room is open during normal climbing wall hours.
